Dr. Shaikh Khalid bin Daij Al Khalifa

As the CEO of Beyon Cyber, Dr. Khalid Al Khalifa has been responsible for establishing the cyber security business in Bahrain and growing it internationally, resulting in Beyon Cyber being rated amongst the 50 fastest growing technology companies in the Middle East. He also leads the cyber security practice of Beyon Group.
He has extensive experience in managing cyber security and communications intelligence programmes with a proven track record of successfully executing complex nationwide security initiatives that have resulted in significant improvements in the Kingdom of Bahrain’s Cyber Security posture, and global cyber readiness rankings.
Dr. Khalid joined Batelco as General Manager of Cyber & Corporate Security in 2018. He subsequently held the role of Chief Security Officer at BNET, where he was charged with the responsibility of securing Bahrain’s most critical communications infrastructure. He previously held the position of Director of Cyber Security at the Telecommunication Regulatory Authority, among various military roles.
Dr. Khalid holds a Diploma in Military Leadership (UK) and amongst other degrees, a Doctorate in International Relations (Switzerland).

A cybersecurity veteran that brings regional and international market and industry knowledge spanning more than 30+ years. Having held senior roles in regional sales and business development in Fortinet and Dimension Data, he co-founded DTS Solution in 2011 and has spearheaded the growth of the organization.
A leader that knows what it takes to grow the business; he has been instrumental in the growth story and market reputation DTS has built across the industry.
He has held various senior level sales and management positions and his experience in cybersecurity and information technology industry reaches far and beyond. Throughout his career, he has always proven a solid track record of significantly increasing sales revenue and profitable bottom line growth and institutionalizing operational excellence.
He holds master’s degree in computer engineering from Yerevan Polytechnic Institute.
Michele Carpentieri
Board Member
Michele Carpentieri is a seasoned Senior Finance Executive and Board-level professional with over 20 years of international experience in corporate finance, financial planning, and performance management across the telecommunications, technology, and media industries prior to joining Beyon Group.
Currently serving as General Manager – Financial Planning and Reporting at Beyon (Bahrain), Michele has built a distinguished career driving financial transformation, strategic forecasting, and data-driven decision-making within complex multinational environments.
He has previously held senior leadership positions at Global Cloud Xchange, Informa, Millicom (Tigo), Lebara, and Vodafone, where he led initiatives in FP&A, cash flow management, treasury operations, and corporate reporting. His tenure across these global organizations demonstrates a strong capability to align financial strategies with business objectives and to deliver actionable insights that enhance profitability and operational efficiency.
With a Master’s degree in Accounting and Control from SDA Bocconi, an Executive Certification in Corporate Finance from Columbia University, and a degree in Economics and Business Management from the University of Bologna, Michele brings a blend of technical expertise, analytical rigor, and commercial acumen to his leadership approach
Shah H Sheikh

A cybersecurity entrepreneur and a public figurehead with more than 18+ years of experience in the trade craft. Having started his cybersecurity career before graduating, he has been in the trenches since 2003, when cybersecurity was a new niche and immature practice.
A dynamic, astute and professional leader, he co-founded DTS Solution in 2011 and has been instrumental in bringing the organization to where it is today; with its reputation as a leader in cybersecurity across the region.
He has worked for leading cybersecurity vendors – Fortinet and Juniper Networks and held senior positions in Agilisys (a leading managed cloud services provider in the UK) and Vodafone.
He is a MEng graduate from Kings College London and holds various industry certifications – ISO27001 LA/LI, CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC, CDPSE, CCSK, CPSA (CREST UK), GISCP along with many technical certifications, he is an active member of ISACA and Cloud Security Alliance and has delivered many keynote speeches at major cybersecurity conferences.
Abubakar Mohd

As the CTO of Beyon Cyber, Abubakar Mohamed has been part of the core team that established Beyon Cyber and led its growth and expansion, including its recognition as the leading growing cyber security company in the GCC.
Abubakar has 18 years of experience in Cyber Security strategy, advisory and CERT leadership. He has an MBA from University of Hull and is a guest lecturer in University of Strathclyde, University of Bahrain and Yonsei University (South Korea). He has also served as a Board member in Professional Cyber Security bodies like ISACA. He is certified PMP, CISSP, CISM, CRISC, GPCS, GPYC and SABSA professional.
Previously, as an Advisor to the Telecommunication Regulatory Authority in Bahrain, Abubakar has led the Cyber Security policy and strategy for the Telecom Sector. Abubakar has played a leading role in drafting the Telecom Data Privacy regulations and Telecom Cyber Security Regulation in Bahrain. In his role as a Cyber Defense Consultant at SingTel, Abubakar has led strategic implementations of Next Generation Cyber Defense Centers and smart security systems.
